====== Every time I wear cuffs, one or two of the cuffs does not attach ======


The cuffs rez, but hang in the air on stay on the ground for a bit, then disappear. 

That could mean either you're wearing too many attachments, or SL has borked a cuff or two:

==== Too many attachments ====

If it's always different cuffs that won't attach, you're probably wearing too many attachments.

SL has strict limits on how many attachments you can wear at one time, including HUD points, mesh hands/feet/clothes. 

**Just detach some things (including HUDs) and rez again. It should work.**

To be sure it's not the cuffs themselves that are borked, you can try this:

1. Detach //everything//, and just wear the missing cuff (say ''/1c1'' or ''/1c2'' or ''/1c3'' or ''/1c4'' for wrists, ankles, arms or thighs respectively – where '/1' is your command channel).

If that works, the cuffs are fine and you need to remove some attachments. If it still doesn't work, then it's probably borked.

==== SL's borked a cuff or two ====


If it's always the same cuff or cuffs that won't attach, and you get some script run-time error with the cuffs, this is the most likely cause. 

Try the following till it works.

2. Reset your HUD and try again (**HUD Menu > settings… > restart..**)

3. Adjust any cuff slightly till you get a “position saved…” message, then try rezzing again.

4. Get a new cuffs at the [[redeliver|Update Switch]]. Or just **HUD Menu > HELP > New HUD** 



It should work now as we have gotten a totally new HUD, and set up a new cuff. If not, it could be...

==== SL servers are having a fit ====


It appears that sometimes, when you rez many Cuffs at the same time (e.g. all 6 or 8), the SL asset servers can't cope with all the information required to rez them (loaded scripts, textures, prime, etc. etc.). This results in some items randomly dropping off and not working.

Tthe next best thing is to rez the Cuffs a pair at a time (with a break in between), and if something still doesn't rez, rez them singly.

Saying ''/1c1'', ''/1c2'', ''/1c3'', ''/1c4'' will rez wrists, ankles, arms and thighs respectively. 

Adding ''r'' or ''l'' behind will rez the right or left item respectively. e.g. ''/1c1r'' rezzes the right wrist

**Remember:** space out the rezzes, to give the sims time to retrieve the info. Different sims may have different loads and limitations.

**For best results, TP to a quiet, full private sim (not a homestead or mainland).**
