Ask your administrator if you think this is wrong. ====== What is Gag Training? ====== This following applies to HUD7 and gag v5 and above. ==== What is Gag Training? ==== Gag Training is when the sub, locked in a Gag, spends time inworld in silence - i.e. Ban Talk is turned on and she is not allowed to talk to anyone in chat (IMs are allowed, though it is discouraged). Valid emote are allowed, but illegal ones aren't. To ensure that the sub is physically present at the keyboard, Focus is turned on (Focus is a HUD feature that will randomly challenge the sub with a simple question to ensure she is not afk). Gag Training is the way a sub moves through the [[gag-circles|Gag Circles]] - she starts as an **Initiate** by default, and successfully completing each Session will see her promote through **Novice, Adept, Slave,** and **First Slave**. Each Circle unlocks new features in the Gag. There are also exclusive rewards and leaderboards at the end. === How to start === - Lock the Gag - Go to **Gag Menu > Train... > START**. This will automatically start **Focus** and **BanTalk**. ==== Training Penalties and Failures ==== * If she talks (or [[emote-cheating|cheats with certain emotes]]), the Training will **end immediately in failure**. She will need to start another Session to try again. * If her Gag or HUD is detached for any reason (whether in RLV or not), the Training will also **end immediately in failure**. Be careful with TPs as there is an SL sim bug that could cause attachments to detach (and then quickly re-attach) right after TP. * If the sub gives a wrong answer to a Focus challenge (to prove she's not using a bot to go AFK), she will be given a **second chance**. If she still gets it wrong, or if she didn't answer at all, pentaly time will be added to the required time. You will be worse off than if you didn't go AFK. e.g. it normally takes 2 hours to level from Initiate to Novice. Now it takes 2 hours plus penalty time to level). * Penalty time will not be included in the actual 'time spent' or 'best time' score for the sub. It is just additional time the sub has to spend to make the next level in this Session. * When Training ends, BanTalk and Focus will automatically be turned off. ==== Training Success ==== * The Training is a success when the sub has spent the required time (e.g. 2 hours plus any penalty time for Initiate) in the locked Gag without any breach. * The sub will then be inducted into the next Circle. e.g. if she was a Novice, she will now become an Adept. * For new Novices, Adepts and Slaves, the Training Session will end immediately, and Ban Talk and Focus will be turned off. * For newly-minted First Slaves, Training will not stop but continue into Sudden-Death mode (see below) ==== Sudden-Death - First Slaves going for the Leaderboard ==== * If the sub had just leveled to First Slave, Training will not stop like the previous Sessions. Instead she enters Sudden-Death mode - where failing a Focus challenge will now end the Session immediately instead of adding penalty time like before. * Everything else is the same - talking or detaching your Gag or HUD will also end the Session. * If the sub doesn't care for the [[gag-circles#leaderboards|Leaderboards]], the Session may be stopped at any time via the **Gag Menu > Training > Stop** and her highscore will be frozen at that point. * If her highscore is good enough, she will be placed on various Gag Leaderboards (see menu links at the top). * A First Slave can also start a Training Session any time to try for the Leaderboards - and it will be a Sudden-Death session. * Basically any time a First Slave is on Training (whether as a newly-minted First Slave or not), she is in Sudden-Death mode. ==== Lock Timer ==== * If the sub's Gag is locked with a timer, that timer is disregarded the moment Training starts. Instead, the Gag will simply unlock when Training has ended. * This is to avoid the Gag inadvertently unlocking mid-Training (hence prematurely ending the Session) due to Focus penalty time extending the required time. * For new Novices, Adepts and Slaves, it means the Gag will unlock upon leveling, as that's when Training automatically ends. * For new First Slaves, the Gag will not unlock upon leveling, as Training does not end then, but continues into Sudden-Death mode.
